New toys

R.I.P DL4

Well after I shipped by Line 6 DL4 off the Mt Pleasant, SC to see if a guy named Dan Burgess could fix it he has sent me back an email and said it was basically fried............BUMMER. I know you are just as depressed as I am about this but I wont let the entire post be a downer. Guitar Rig Re-Invention Part 4 is coming soon and is going to be LEGEND............wait for it...................DARY!!! I am very excited about what is being built for me and hopefully it will be ready by the end of this month but we'll see!!

Guitar Rig Re-Invention Part 3

Alright so I know it has been a long time since I have posted some new gear so here I go. So back in March I was hunting around online for some different overdrive pedals and I came across this pedal that ironically is called the "Tim" pedal. Its made by a guy named Paul Cochrane. He makes this pedals in Murfreesboro TN. When you call to order a pedal Paul is who you talk to. So in March he said it would be July before he could get to me b/c of his waiting list. Paul makes all his pedals by hand and so he cant just spit 30 pedals out a day. So August came and he said some of his parts had been on backorder and it would be September. Then Octocber came and it was ready. Let me say it sounds amazing.

Next it was time for my b-day so you know kelly had to hook it up. Now for a while now the Dl-4 has been acting funny so I know its due a repair and I have been wanting a DD-20 for a while. So thats what she surprised me with. The DD-20 Giga Delay has 4 banks you can save your delays plus an active delay so thats 5 delay presets!!! allso you can dial in a delay to milliseconds/Bpms which helps alot when I am recording or playing a song with a track at church. The pedal has tons of features. Too many to name really.

Lastly, something that was probably long overdue I bought some legit cables for the pedalboard. I decided on the LAVA ELC cables. These are custom cables that I can actually hear the difference when I use these cables compared to my old cables.

Well thats it for now. Just to drop a hint on what is coming next for the Re-Invention.....A BIG purchase will be made!!!!

Ok so this is short. But it has been a really really...............really long time since i have blogged. Alot has gone down. Look for "Guitar Rig Re-Invention Part 3" to be coming soon. I have gotten a few new toys you need to see!!!!

Mayer 2010

So alot of people know that I really like John Mayers music. Over the past few years I have seen him 5 different times and got to meet him backstage and get a guitar signed. So this year was what I expected. A musical mind-blowing experience!!!!!! Not only is he just crazy good, but his band is ridiculous! 2 words......STEVE JORDAN. Steve is the most phenominal drummers i have ever heard. ROBBIE MACINTOSH one of his guitar players. Robbie adds such a great dynamic to John's music. And lastly I will mention DAVID RYAN HARRIS. This dude is NUTS!!! He adds the R&B facet to Johns style. The dude can play a pretty mean guitar and his background vocals are simply incredible. His has some solo stuff that is pretty cool too.
My bro Vann, his wife Cameron, Kelly and I had the time of our life on March 15th and I am sure I speak for all of us when I say I cant wait till we can do it again.
